Vincent Meli - graphic designer

Hey there. I'm Vinny. I'm an art director and graphic designer that has always been fascinated in creativity bound by rules. I have over 20 years of experience designing creative solutions that convert visitors to brand-loyal customers. The majority of my professional experience has been working for IKEA for 13+ years as an art director and graphic designer in both a store environment and national corporate office. Following that, I found new opportunities with Lidl. An exciting challenge was finding ways to introduce a large, global retailer to a new market, not very familiar with the brand.

 

A condensed look at the many tasks I handled were: being a champion of brand identity, designing custom communication and retail solutions for the US customer, leading and coaching store and office partners on brand identity and tone of voice, planning collateral for press/marketing events, and project management for evergreen and seasonal campaigns.

One creative outlet outside of my design work is cooking. I have a passion for food and love to share that with others. I also enjoy recreational team sports, mainly having been involved with inline hockey or floor hockey teams for over 20 years. IKEA also gave me the opportunity to mentor high school students in the Junior Achievement program. "Junior Achievement is the world's largest organization dedicated to educating students in grades K-12 about entrepreneurship, work readiness and financial literacy through experiential, hands-on programs."
